Yeah mate, i made one up using a garden sprayer. Pumped it up to 15psi and ran about 1ltr of fluid through. I also tripped the ABS relay, to run the pump a few times.

I checked at the booster to make sure it was getting vac when the engine was running, and there is plenty there....

Well this thing officially goes like stink

Brakes are getting better, but still not awesome.

Still has the tall gearing in the back, but i feel that anything too much shorter will just make it break traction easier. Even now just hitting the throttle at 60kmh lights it up.

I'll take it back to my fabricator this week to get some heat shields made up for ontop of the pipes, a thermo mount for the Rad, and also my A/con lines done.

I hope to get the engineer out in the next couple of weeks to 'blue plate' it.

No vids yet, too hard to drive and take a vid at once.

I may have to take you up on that.

Anyone who earlier in the this was 'considering' doing this. My advice is YES, you need to do it. With the car being so light, you can take off in 2nd, and it just gets up and go's.

I wonder if it will be as awesome in a 250kg lighter car?

Good to see you have it cracking, mate.

My VL is just under 1200kg with the LS1 and yes no probs in taking off in 2nd , light weight + LS1 = mighty fast car .

Don;t get me wrong, it is nice. But for just over half the $$ you can have alot more, with much more potential if you want to go that far.

I think i'm going to order a Ford alloy case 8.8 IRS diff centre for it from the states, and start to make tracks on a diff conversion pretty soon. I'm thinking 3.7 gears and true track (Torsion) style LSD.

Hopefully pick this back up on Monday/Tuesday after getting a bit more work done-Mainly heat shields around the extractors.

It was running a bit hotter then i hoped for -97-100 deg, with the thermostat being an 'unknown', i decided to purchase a new 86 Deg one, and also have put a 14" Skew blade thermo on the back on the radiator, so i have a push/pull style set up.

I hope to get the engineer out in the next week or 2, and get the air con hooked up. I also need to get the tacho recalibrated to suit my Dash, and the Defi's wired in 100%.

Then Stage 1 is just about finished .

Isn't it funny. There is always 'stages' when modifying a car. It just never ends.

I'm thinking Stage 2 will be taking the heads off to be ported, cam, lifters etc.
Change of wheels/tyres, and probably redo the interior i leather. Also the brake upgrade.

Not yet, they are better, but i'm still not happy with them, i'd say they are 95% atm. I found some wet grass to test the ABS which is working perfect, so i need to bleed them again now, as hopefully activating the ABS solonoids during use has released some of the air bubbles behind the valves..

I had some new heat shields made up for the engine bay which came up very neat, and also mounted another Fan on it. Mounted my Gauges inside and purchased a new alarm/GPS tracking unit for it.

Had some hard lines made up for the heater lines, as they were running too close the exhaust manifolds, this way they are deflected well out of the way and away from heat.

I also picked up a M3 front bar, skirts, splitter, doors moulds, rear diffuser last night, so i'll have to get them painted soon and drop them on.

I've driven it about 40km so far, it is fucking awesome to drive (mind you i have been driving a 318 E30 for the last 6 months, so anything will seem powerful compared to that )

Looks pretty damn non-aftermarket modified. Nice.

The engine does tilt to the left though yeah? Unless I'm seeing things.

Not bulky at all really, why do you ask? If i know why i might be able to give you more details, but it really is no different to 90% of other rad supports.

Thank you. Motor sits flat, but the centre line is about 15mm offset to the left.

was just wondering how its designed, holds everything like the headlamps etc.
Havent seen one before and only ever worked on cars were it was all part of the chassis.....

if you ever take the front off again would be keen to see a pic or two of it all.....

why not look at nissan diffs for the LCD conversion?

Heaps of ratio choice, cheap as chips, lots of CV options and variations, cheap LSD centres...

its looking great mate!
